Behind the Artist

Hi! I’m Jen, the creative force behind Harmony Archer Photography. My journey with photography began well before earning my Film Studies degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. While my love for photography sparked early, my degree taught me the art of storytelling—how to weave imagery, music, and emotion into something truly unforgettable.

With over 25 years of photography experience, enhanced by numerous workshops, masterclasses, and ongoing education, and 15 years of marketing and sales expertise, I bring a strategic and professional approach to every project. As an avid supporter of small businesses in my community, I’m proud to be involved in organizations like the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, LIBA, ERN, and as a board member of Women in Sales and Business (WISB). My passion lies in helping businesses and individuals thrive by capturing their unique stories through powerful imagery.

I embrace life when I'm not behind the camera. I’m a proud mom to three wonderful kids/stepkids and a pet parent to three cats and two dogs. My partner Ben and I stay busy coaching flag football, our legendary laser tag team with all our kids (yes, it’s as nerdy and fun as it sounds!). We also host monthly potluck game nights with friends—sometimes with our kids joining in, sometimes as adults-only escapades.

Our love for adventure fuels our lives. This past year, we visited Disneyland, skydived in Las Vegas, explored New Orleans for the third time (one of my favorite cities), fed marshmallows to alligators from an airboat, and hit the slopes several times in Colorado. With more adventures planned for this year, the best is yet to come!

When I’m not traveling or photographing, I immerse myself in creative pursuits like painting, drawing, reading, or curating my vinyl collection on my vintage turntable. And in case you’re wondering, my past life, I played bass and keyboards in a heavy metal band—yes, really!
